Thinking about employer engagement?

Inside the Workplace is a series of regional training events held in employer venues for Diploma teaching teams. Events start on 19 January and run until mid-February only. Spaces are limited so we advise early booking to secure your place. Small local events organised specifically for your consortium will start in March.

Line of learning networks

Join the regional Diploma line of learning networks to meet fellow practitioners in your region through events, workshops and online forums. Each network is supported by an online community  where you can exchange ideas with other practitioners, upload resources and contribute to network action plans.

IAG audits for consortia

The Diploma support programme and igen are working together to offer you a seamless package of support to ensure that the delivery of IAG meets the requirements of the IAG Quality Standards. igen consultants will work with your consortium to audit current IAG arrangements and SSAT IAG Champions will provide post-audit support helping to implement improvement plans. Diploma feedback
Over the next three months, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) will launch a QCA Direct community on diploma-support.org, including a space to ask QCA questions and give direct feedback on the qualifications, a survey section and a series of QCA-led conversations covering hot topics for further exploration.

Learning and Skills Improvement Service brand launched
The newly-created Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) launched its brand last month. LSIS is the organisation formed from the bringing together of the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL) and the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) to develop excellent and sustainable FE provision across the sector.

Diploma ready reckoner launched
The National Assessment Agency (NAA) has launched a downloadable spreadsheet-based tool - the Diploma ready reckoner. The reckoner clarifies the importance of guided learning hours and additional and specialist learning (ASL) to Diploma aggregation.

AQA-City & Guilds are hosting four free regional Diplomas open days in February and March. These events offer an opportunity to get personalised information on Diplomas, network with other Diploma providers, talk to Diploma experts about your specific issues and take away Diploma literature.
